I started my project doing some researches and brainstorming to get some ideas
and I ended up with almost two, I tried to ask myself and look around for any digital media
problem that i can notice in my daily life, and here is some of my thoughts
1- Making a an adv. campaign for a famous graphic designer.
The problem here is that this artist is well known on the internet but outside
nobody really knows anything about him, you can't see any of his work outside the computer
so i was thinking about promoting him in the region by making some posters and have
a video where I can show his work.
Am not really sure about this idea really because in the end, he is a graphic designer
and he can do the work himself!.
2- My second idea was about an issue we have in our college ( University if Sharjah, College
of fine arts and design ), the problem is exactly about the student council in the college, and
as a member of the this council, I can clearly see that since we are formed, we don't have any
identity in the college, no one really knows anything about us and no one knows how to contact
us besides the email, it's like we don't have a " profile " which is a big problem in my point of
view, so designing a big profile including ( Logo, website, business cards and posters ) was the
first thought that came to my mind.
These two ideas are going to be proposed to the instructors in this project and the students
in the class to get some feedback and comments about it.

I think that the second idea is more structural than the first one. The thing that I liked about the second idea is that it is a problem that need to be solved at least before next year where more students will be joining the college.

Your blog seems to be a honest account of where you are right now with the ideas.
First idea is a common problem that all designers will face and self promotion is key and how you do this. Marketing yourself will be something you will have to do when you reach the end of your degree, so it may be a good time to start now.
The 2nd Idea is a genuine problem you have identified and it is probably worth investigating this route. There is no identity and no awareness of the Student Council.
So it's worth resolving this problem and you creating awareness of this. So you have a brief to already work to. However research is key.

I like the second idea. Do something in general without any names, because every year the members will change. I think you can add the names and pics on the web/ if you will do it ! It is easy to change the information yearly.

i guess i would go for the 2nd idea, because there is a lot missing in the student council.
the college is growing really fast and a cooper identity will be needed sooner or later.
but still my concern is what will you do something different ?!

I will suggest for you to go for the second idea. The thing that I want you to think about is how to make the idea bigger and how to show that this group is really important.
